Antique Watercolor Violets Valentine

The little red heart at upper left feels rather like a distant sun or moon, pulling these violets toward it like a magnet. I think over time there has been some sort of reaction in the purple and green paint, giving the flowers a strange, almost electric radiance that is pretty fantastic. And then "Viola" humbly written in pencil at lower left, which in my imagination names both the flower and the sender of this lovely violet valentine. 

5 1/2" x 3 7/16" and in good condition, with some toning at corners where it was likely held in an album. Blank reverse.
