I'm drawn like a magnet to all manner of Froebel kindergarten objects and creations--paper weavings and paper fold compositions most of all.
Froebel saw paper folding as a means of children understanding and exploring the process of transformation--creating different shapes and objects from one and the same square, or several squares combined. These six examples using orange and white paper squares exemplify that perfectly, with the added dimension of the squares then having been arranged into different compositions of 4, 5 or 6.
I love all six together as a progression, but offer them up here individually. Select how many you wish to purchase then please indicate in the notes field at checkout the letter or letters of the one(s) you wish to purchase (labelled in photos.)
Each measures 10 1/8" x 7". Good condition, on heavy weight gray board. Very early 20th c. I believe. Light foxing here and there.
