I believe this was once a lid of some sort, on a grain barrel or something of that sort, but what a beautiful sort of frame now. With a little effort one could make it into a mirror or add glass and a backing to use for a picture, though I might just hang it on the wall as an object, drawing a square around the void. Great bleed around the nails/rivets, which nearly matches the dark brown-black of the rubber around the interior perimeter and at the far corners, and great gray-brown color to the double layered frame itself, a hard, heavy sort of board.
7 1/2" x 7 3/8"; interior opening 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Good, sturdy, beautiful aged and worn condition.
