Such a gorgeous thing! I am always on the lookout for antique treen bottles and boxes, and so often disappointed to pull them out of cases to find a large crack running down one side. This one, on the other hand, is in exceptional condition, plus still has its glass bottle inside, stopper and all. 19th century British, these were used by doctors or travelers to carry medicinals, and could still be used that way, or perfect on the vanity filled with perfume.
4" tall x 1 3/4" widest diameter. Both the treen bottle (I think perhaps boxwood but am not complete certain; a beautiful hardwood in any case) and the glass bottle are in excellent condition. There is some paper inside the lid as cushioning for the glass, which I have not removed.
