As you surely know by now, nothing delights me more than old drawings, the more naive the better. These are from a larger group of 19th c. graphite drawings I found yesterday at a show in New Hampshire, which I've divided into sets--so many fabulous little animals--and here one person too! I really love the face on the cat holding her fan, and the proud stoicism of the horse, and especially this pair of eagles protecting their eaglets in the nest!
Cat (on card): 4 1/8" x 2 1/2". Horse: 4 1/8" x 3 1/2". Others: 5" x 4 1/8". All in very good condition.
