I purchased this one from a dealer in France, along with a second notebook dated 1941-42 and filled with cut and woven paper designs, which I sold a few weeks ago. I would guess this one, filled with graphite and crayon drawings, was done by the same student. Some real charmers in here I think, from the little animals each given its own page, to several sorts of flowers, to, my favorite, pictured first, a two page spread featuring fireplace with very cheerfully decorated mantle and exuberant house with lots of windows and flowers everywhere. Plus two loose (and somewhat more advanced) drawing found tucked into it, pictured last. I'll never get over my love for these sorts of kid drawings, so full of life.
8 7/8" x 6 7/8". 10 pages filled front and back -- most pages pictured. All in good condition, with paper cover well attached.
