1911 Watercolor Seascape with Lighthouse and Gulls Signed LHH in Original Gilded Frame with Gold Mat

A lovely, really quite radiant small amateur seascape watercolor with flying gulls and lighthouse in the distance, sign JHH and dated 1911. In original frame, with gold mat, framed by Carl E. Nelson, Boston, whose paper label remains on the reverse.  I love a watercolor seascape of this sort, and especially the watery handling of the clouds here amid the orange and pink sky. And with the gold mat making it feel very much like a view through a peek through a small window toward a luminous horizon.

Framed  9 1/2" x 7  1/2"; Sight 4 3/16" x 2 3/4". All in very good condition.
