A final two by a young J.H Adaire of Spring Grove, PA today, this one c. 1905--I bought and sold a handful a month or two ago, then went back to the seller to scoop up a handful more; just my sort of naive drawings. I really love postures and colors and patterning on these birds, which I take for a grouse and a pair of ducks, marching in opposite directions, like two vignettes observed from around the farm.
8 3/4" x 5 7/8". Paper a bit brittle; I mended some old tears with clear archival tape from the blank reverse side.
