For me this one is all about the marvelous engravings--of all sorts of fishes and sea creatures, as well as bees and birds and flies and nests and hives and more--and most of them hand-colored. But the text is pretty fun too, a catechism structured as questions and answers in an accessible, conversational way--through which we learn about many wonders of the natural world--with a nod to God when there is no apparent explanation for why something is the way it is!
5 7/8" x 3 7/8". 80 pages--numbered in sections (15, 16. 16. 16. 16). General cover wear, toning, and a couple of tears to pages. Photos document most pages with engravings, most of which were hand-colored.
