A tiny wonder. Just over an inch tall, but heavy in the hand and wonderfully detailed, this miniature steel book is I believe a piece of WW2 British trench art. With 1940s stamped into the spine (the 4 impressed in two directions), a pin-pricked encircled six point star on the face, and portrait of King George V on the reverse, I'm guessing cut from a coin and applied. I love a miniature book, and a piece of trench art, and this quite a singular example of both!
1 1/4" x 1" x 5/16", very good condition.
