Native American Chief Folk Art Clay Pipe Bowl

Regular price $40.00

This clay pipe bowl shaped like the head of a Native American chief appears to me to have been hand-sculpted of clay, and signed KH (but it wasn't me who made it!) . With a regal, intense face and wonderfully detailed long mane of hair, he has seen quite a bit of smoking, with the interior and lip of the bowl itself is quite blackened, with a little burning to the tips of the feathers on his headdress as well. The rest of the clay has a nice warm patina too, and altogether makes one want to find a good spot to display it--or perhaps better, pipe stem in order to put it to use!

2 1/2" l x 2" t x 1 7/16" w measured on the square and in very good structural condition, with blackening from use as noted and documented.
