A Dreadful Bore, Excellent Victorian Trade Card for Atlantic Garden "Temperance Resort", Danielsonville, CT

Regular price $20.00

I find the art of hand shadowing, or "shadowgraphy," a fantastic thing (and have been watching antique books illustrating it fetch high prices), so I jumped on this scarce Victorian trade card when I came across it. (Of course I also love puns.) And "Atlantic Garden" as "the only temperance amusement resort in town" is interesting too, with pool tables, shooting gallery and a first class lunch counter to boot. Danielsonville CT became Danielson in 1895, and I believe this dates a decade or two earlier than that.

 4 9/16" x 2 3/4", very good condition.
