I really love this painting. Everything about it feels just right, right down to the signature along the lip of the blue plate. And with both pineapples and bananas both metaphors for hospitality or "welcome" in their special own ways:) The longer I spend looking at this one, better it gets, really a nice painting to live with.
10 3/4" x 8 3/4". Oil on canvas. Minor paint loss and edge wear, which just has the effect of softening it a bit--all to the good. Late 19th/early 20th century I believe.
