I don't buy nearly as much studio pottery as I used to, largely product of where I tend to go hunting for things, but when I came across this beauty on a crowded open shelf in a mish mosh of a shop in Maine, I grabbed it in one second flat. Hand-thrown, stoneware, shino type glaze with wax resist decoration. Very nicely crafted, perfect condition, mid century I believe, and signed (incised) on the underside with a monogram mark. I did a bit of searching on the mark but didn't find a match--you may know better than I do! I had it sitting on a table amid a handful of wooden objects for a bit and they were all better for the proximity, which is to say an excellent object and vessel, both!
6" t x 4 5/8" widest diameter. Excellent condition.
