Such a curious pair--of real photo postcards, and of children! One of them is dated 1926 on reverse, and the children identified as Joseph Genther and Rodrick (I believe) Sidealle--perhaps fast friends rather than brother and sister, or perhaps cousins--feels hard to believe, with those faces, that they are not from the same family! I absolutely love that the two photos capture the pair in the same spots, and with very similar expressions, across the period of a year or two or three, as they graduate from "Indian" costumes to serious looking coats and hats. And what I love most of all are these curious furry white puffs in both photos--in hand or at feet--what are they???? Stuffed animals? Fluffy chickens? Whatever the case, their repeated presence compounds the seeming steadfastness of these two!
5 3/8" x 3 1/4" each and in good condition, with scattered toning/stains/smudges all to the good in this case.
