I've developed something of a thing for old images of Classical sculpture--some sort of layering of the ancient and the romantic that makes them feel even more of another world, perhaps. This is a set of five photogravure postcards from, I believe, the National Archeological Museum at Athens, c. 1910. I found them digging through an old box of photos at an antiques show, alongside snapshots taken at archeological sites--all from the collection of an archeologist orarcheological enthusiast, I believe.
Sold as a set of five. All in good condition, with unused backs. Matte finish. Each measures 5 5/8" x 3 3/4".
