I found this in inland Maine and just thought it was an interesting and satisfying object. It is a sizer/mold for making lead shot, with old shot still held in each of the holes. A power strip of sorts, packed with potential! Hand-carved, nice old wood, and I doubt it had traveled far from where it was made.
6" x 3/4" x 1/4". Very good condition. Each hole is lined with a woven fabric, which I believe functioned to mold, and hold, the shot.
