I'm not great at visualizing how molds would have been used, but definitely this produced some sort of elephant! Great from both sides, with this wonderful play of screws and bolts and holes and outlines, and then this putty, now hard, masking out the face. Really a curious, wonderfully strange looking thing!
7" l x 6" t x 1" d, with a super patina of age and use.
