I've found one or two others like this antique hand-painted silk apple pin cushion over time, and will continue to snap them up whenever I do; what beautiful things! The streaks red and yellow color on the silk makes it just the most radiant thing. And this one with its two original green cloth leaves still in place, attached to the cloth wrapped wire stem. Completely lovely.
2 3/8" t x 2 3/4" d. Very good condition, very early 20th century I believe. One small brown stain/toning spot on one side (where yellow turns to red), which one could just consider a worm hole! And a couple of very minor abrasions to the silk near the seam on yellow side, I think from a couple of pins being stuck in it, as intended!
