I came across this Madonna at a shop close to me and she struck me as just the right thing to keep around. The silver tone has a really nice softness and smoothness about it, and she looks a lot like a Grecian goddess to me! Stamped JP on the reverse, for Jenning Brothers of Bridgeport, CT, which from what I can find operated from the late 19th to early 20th century, producing jewelry boxes, animal figurines, religious busts, and tableware.
4 1/2" t x 2" w x 2 1/2" d. Good condition, some surface wear and tarnishing, to the good in my opinion. Stands sturdy and square on the base, with green felt on the other underside.
