Sunny and Satisfied Looking Yellow Woman in Ruffles, Mid 19th Century Papier Mache Snuff Box

The bold yellow on this one sold me immediately, and then so did her gently smiling face, which together with her crossed arms make her look like she's holding a secret. The scratch to the surface right at the center of her ruffled neckline reads to me as a star, which somehow makes me think of her as Betsy Ross! She seems to me just the right person to hold down the face of a box.

 3 1/4" d. Good condition, general wear and a few spots of loss to the interior surface of of the box as show, really terrific color.
