Young Men, Half Submerged, Barely There Antique RPPC

Lots of photos I really love this week--many of them purchased at the Photographic Historical Society of New England's annual Photographica sale last weekend in Newton, MA, this real photo postcard among them. Super ethereal, but with the faces and bodies of these young men quite clear as they emerge from the water, with beautiful ripples to the surface  right around them too. Very poetic feeling, but also with a bit of a Lord of the Flies aspect to it too, for me, as if these boys were stripped down to survival mode, at the ends of the earth.

3 7/16" x 5 7/16, with general wear, scattered stains, and a rough spot/surface creasing at upper left perimeter.
