This photo snuck up on me (like a good boxer I guess!) I first grabbed it because I love a boxing photo, but the more time I spend with it the more compelling I find it, and moodily cinematic feeling, too, with a sense of real significance to the quiet moment captured, as if some sort of turning point in all of their lives. I do love to project! But really, what a beautiful play of bodies and gestures and details, down to the pair of boxing gloves caught just within the frame at bottom center. Feels rather more like a contemporary art photograph than a snapshot to me.
4 11/16" x 3 5/8". Very good condition, glossy, a bit on the darker side, which I've tried hard to accurately capture, but more richly toned in hand than my photos convey. Tiny crease/abrasion to lower right corner and less so to upper left, very very minor. Reads sharp and crisp.
