Often with these old wooden cutout animals the face is the selling point, as it often most reflects the individuality of its maker, but here it's this beautiful nailed on extra layer of mend/reinforcement (actually an extra layer on each side) straight down its center, combined with the three long nails extending from each foot, together giving this sweet pup some real tooth! That the center mends run straight up to an eye hook for hanging also makes them feel rather like the bands of a harness, and as if a leash might be latched to the hook to take this guy for a walk, on nail stilts!
16 1/4" l x x 14 3/4" t (including nails), 1 5/16" thickest. Good, sturdy, condition with a little white/gray spotting against the black paint on one side and a split to the wood of the tail, I'm guess fixed via glue at some point and now totally stable--all as pictured.
