The person I purchased this from purchased it directly from the estate of a dentist, along with a portable dentist's chair (!!!) that was used for traveling around the region to teach and deliver dental services. I just think this cabinet is terrific looking, and could be useful for all sorts of things, including, say, storing artist supplies to be able to take on the go--or just carrying around the studio via the leather handle on top. There is a hinged wooden cover that looks to have one point locked closed over the drawers, though has since been disabled--it lies flush over the face of the box or flips up to sit flat on top. The drawers are painted creamy white with brass handles, all pulling all the way out easily, and large enough to hold all sorts of things, with grooved wooden trays in two of the drawers. Really sweet!
15" wide x 9 3/8" t x 9 1/2" d. Drawers are 8 1/2" deep inside. Very solid structural condition, with jointed corners and rubber feet on the underside. A little wear to the paint, a little orange staining to the inside of a couple drawers, and some scratching to the surface of the wood on the back of the box.
