Very Scarce c. 1870s-80s E.U. Kinsey Building Blocks Set with Stained Glass Window Frames

Regular price $65.00

I can't find any reference for this blocks set out there anywhere, but I did find one record of a different set of E.U. Kinsey's Toy Building Blocks in the collection of the Henry Ford Museum, dated 1875-1885, which is I believe about when these were produced. What I especially love here are the freestanding window frames with jewel colored stained glass windows, nice just lined up on their own, and there's a hinged door, too. And the rectangular and triangular shaped blocks are all purple on one side and orange/gold on the other, both colors quite radiant. And the original box is in very good shape, no splits at all, and the lid slides in the groove easily to close tight and flush.

Box measures 12" x 6 7/8" x 1 1/4". Overall blocks and box in very good condition. Some wear and loss to the paper label on the box top as evident and surface wear/soiling to a few of the colored blocks, which  I have not tried to wipe clean.A handful of blocks surely lost but box is only deep enough to accommodate one layer of blocks and windows so not very many gone.
