This, and a second PA German catechism book also listed today, are all about book as object for me--namely about the gorgeous hand-printed paper on the  cover-boards; the mustard and green gridded pattern here just makes me swoon, and feels as contemporary as it does 1830s (this one published in 1838). As beautiful as any wallpaper band box, and takes up much less space!

5 9/16" x 3 11/16". Very good condition.
