I'd never seen a set of these cards before, produced by R.H Davis & Co, Yarmouth Nova Scotia--early 1900s I'm sure, though I can't find another deck out there anywhere. They're really lovely, and make for an excellent way to learn--or practice--one's French vocab ( animals, vegetables, items of clothing, serving ware, etc.) while playing a rummy type game. 

Box 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 1". Complete deck of 60 cards, in excellent condition.
