Colorful Old Braided Silk 11" Diameter Candle or Chair Mat

I've been eyeing these old braided mats lately for their great colors and patterns and tactility, so was very happy to find this one in Maine this weekend, which I especially love for the hand stitching (first brown then black) holding it together from the backside--which I'd treat as the front. And while the color on the original face has faded, the back is as bright as if made yesterday. Such a happy thing to set at the center of the table, or even hang on the wall.
