Rotunda Amid Dense Trees, Intriguing and Atmospheric Hudson River School Oil on Linen Painting Fragment, Framed

I find this one super atmospheric and evocative, and a bit mysterious, with this rotunda feeling like a long forgotten place, encircled with overgrowth, but inside of which might be something grand! The painting is 19th century Hudson River School, a fragment salvaged from a larger painting I believe. I opened the frame to see it--oil on linen--and photographed it both inside and outside the frame, as shown. This one feels to me like inspiration for a novel, and I keep returning to it. 

10 1/4" x 8 3/8", beautiful period frame, under glass. Canvas approx 8" x 6 1/8". All in good antique condition, as found.
