Red Painted Apple Cutting Board

I just really like the shape of this apple, which also feels a bit like a tomato, and all of the wear including burn marks on the reverse side, which tell us no mere decorative cutting board was this. Unfussy, and satisfying. With a hole in the green painted stem for hanging.  c. 1940s-50s I would think.

11 13/16 x 10 x 3/4 and in good, much used condition, with some a little minor surface cracking on the painted side, one funny little touch up to the paint that doesn;t quite match, and a knot in the wood showing through.
