Pound of Tea Island, Casco Bay, Maine, Real Photo Postcard with Secret Code Writing

I just looked up Pound of Tea Island--one quarter an acre, now with one house on it, and described by the realtor who sold it in 2018 as one of the most iconic and coveted private islands along the Southern Maine coast. I love how the writer of this early 20th c postcard describes it: "how do you like it..some rocks, what." Of much greater interest is news of the next dance, and then a coded message relating to what will happen "when it comes off." Finally, news of having been "out in the shower" (caught in the rain I assume) the other night...[we] "got some wet you bet."

5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and in good antique condition, with light wear and minor foxing along edges.
