I'm a bit obsessed with this one--a mock up for a photoengraving I believe, with tinted film layered over a black and white photo, masking tape holding it in place, a miniature version tucked in for reference, and what I take for a crop line with the initials MT written in China marker. To my eye adding up to quite a satisfying little found modernist collage, just right just as found.
7" x 5". and in very good condition, with a little stain from an old paper clip at top center. With a Basil Smith Photoengraving Co. (Philadelphia PA) order form pasted to the reverse, from Dingley Press of Freeport Maine. The former seems to have been active at least 1950-late 1970s; Dingley press has been active as a catalog printer in Freeport, ME since 1928.
