Just a beauty of an ink (pen and ink) drawing, custom made for hanging over a writer's desk! Late 19th century I believe, perfectly executed, feeling all about the power and potential of the pen, and self-reflexive/self-referential too.
8 7/8" x 6 13/16". Very good condition, black ink on good weight drawing paper.
