I've got a weakness for old tin penny toys-- these were inexpensive little things, often smaller versions of larger sized models, first produced in Germany in the 1860s-- and as someone who believes little pick me ups are essential to life, I just like the idea of them. Anyway, I'm not sure who produced these two, but they are pretty old ones for sure, and I love the form of the blue racer especially. Both once wound up but the tiny keys are long gone; still, one can roll them along or just park them somewhere, perhaps even in the car for good driving luck!
Blue: 2 3/4" long. Red/yellow: 2 9/16" l. Both show wear and some rust, but I think they are still pretty great looking. Sold as a pair.
