SOLD Pair of Early Religious Punch Paper Embroideries with Beading

Regular price $30.00

I pulled these two out of the same pile and both are early punch paper embroideries, so I thought it would be nice to keep them together--and if one is a Bible reader, they would allow for bookmarking two very favorite passages. The one dated 1847 is unusual for incorporating metal beading for the anchor on the cross (which gives the anchor extra weight for sure!) as well as along the very bottom edge. That one is backed with white satin ribbon; the other looks to have once been backed with black satin, now gone.

1847: 6 3/4" l x 1 5/8" w. My Bible: 4 5/8" x 1 5/8". Both in good condition with no losses that I see, some scattered toning/stains as evident.
