More total gorgeousness--this the second of two antique dye color samplers listed today, both I think about as good as it gets. I seem to have an insatiable want for color these days, and these feel like pure sustenance to me. This one, for Nacco Dyes, was produced by the National Aniline & Chemical Co., c. 1910s-20s and features 90 color samples, applied to a mix of silks, wools, and cottons, thus feeling like a textile sampler as well as a color one. Accordian fold, heavy card, with a sort of sateen fabric cover. Photos give some sense but very much more beautiful in hand.
8 7/8" x 5 7/8" closed. 33 3/4" long open with title page and all sample pages showing. Very good antique condition.
