Oh, my. I might guess this was meant to be a cat, though I'm not sure, and don't think it matters as much as it being a pure pure embodiment of "thing to be loved." And much loved it was, really a study in mending, with patches of true darning all over, which is pretty wonderful to see. I believe it was made of an old knit stocking, and then dressed in this crocheted onesie, clearly made just for it, and which used to be blue, as one can see from the back. Really quite a thing.
8 3/4" t x 4 3/4" w x 1 1/8" and still holding together quite well, not fragile and not spilling any stuffing at all.
