How to resist? I could easily leave behind a mechanical kitty like this in perfect condition, but the wear on this one makes it another thing entirely-- a hugely empathetic creature! I believe it once wound up with a key and would roll along mechanically, but now it just sits--all the better to snuggle with, I'd say! A charmer. And it's metal wire tail does flip back and forth or stand straight up. C. 1940s I believe, likely made in Japan.
4 3/4" l x 2" tall not including tail in either case. Much battered, but all the better for it, stable now.
