I've seen a few Victorian pin cushions shaped like a ladies' calf or foot, but never a double pair of legs, and with a lace skirt to boot! At some point someone added a wire on the back in order to hand this on the wall, and I found then with a green velvet ribbon, also a later addition I believe, tied around one thigh. To my sensibility the perfect amount of strange, and really fun!
8 1/2" t x 4 w x 2 1/4" deep. It seems there are two layers, black silk or satin over a sturdier nude fabric, so that where there are a few worn spots in the black, there is not sawdust spilling out. It does appear that the wire pierced both layers on one spot under the lace skirt, so it does shed a bit when moving it around, but I think this could be mended, and am happy to do try to do that carefully before sending if you would like, just let me know. (Once hung in one spot though and left along, I don't think it would be an issue.)
