I know this small bowl was purchased from a large private Native American collection in northern New Mexico; my guess is that it is Acoma, but I'm not 100% certain. It's for sure a beautiful thing, though, with simple but bold dark brown painted design over white slip, which keeps the eye forever look forward, toward what's around the curve of the bowl. For me, a perfect thing.
4 3/16" in diameter x 2 1/4" tall. Great condition, with a few very minor surface chips, as there should be. I believe likely early 20th century.
