SOLD Lovely Antique Watercolor with Six Theorem Sketches - Shells, Harp, Birds, Pears

Regular price $170.00

Six little paintings in one, here--I assume all of the sketches in advances of larger watercolors/theorem paintings, and all of them pretty sweet I think, and perhaps all the better for their small scale. Of course I love those lushly painted pears the most, with hand-written label below them, and to my eye just right with the perched bird surrounded by green just to their left. And them above in softer colors two sets of love birds with ribbons and leafy sprigs, a harp with sheet music, and a pretty gathering of seashells and seaweed. Just lovely.

Framed as found in a period frame, I would guess 1870s or so. Framed: 14" x 10 5/16". Sight: 10 3/4" x 7 1/2". Frame shows wear and a few surface chips though I'd probably leave as is. Watercolor in good condition, with a little scattered staining and toning. There is some glare caught in photos.
