Great color and character on these two, which I’m sure once part of a larger set; one sees wooden folk animals of this sort on green bases around from time to time but with variation among them so I think perhaps they were made according to plans. These are two excellent examples I think, of a nice scale, with great old paint, and terrific faces. Lion: 7 1/2” l x 5 3/4” t. Wolf: 7 1/2 l x 3 7/8” t. Both in good condition with nice aging to the paint; a little paint loss to the top edge on the wolf.
