I thought about selling these two individually, but as I photographed them realized they really are a couple (he's taller, she's wider) so thought best to keep them together, including for the fact that they're plenty large and heavy to function as bookends (or doorstops for that matter; they're 2+ lbs each.) I purchased them from a seller who found them at an estate sale in Alabama but don't know who made them; they're carved of solid wood, thickly painted with what I guess is enamel paint, which has a sheen, and they definitely have some age, with plenty of dings and a little chipped paint here and there. The male penguin overall in fine shape and I think quite indestructible.
The larger measures 10 3/8" t x 5 1/4" w x 6 1/4" d. Smaller measures 10" t x 5 1/2" w x 6" d.
