A few more today by a young J.H Adaire of Spring Grove, PA, dated 1905--I bought and sold a handful a month or two ago, then just went back to the seller to scoop up a handful more. Just my sort of naive and exuberant drawings--and what a curious parlor here, lorded over by the goose, and with an especially excellent squirrel perched on fence that morphs into a small flagpole with oversized baseball floating over it. Odd and excellent. And then a swirl of doves and flowers and vines on reverse and the phrase "Psalm Life" in very fancy lettering, which truth be told keeps making me this of "Thug Life," ha.
7 1/8" x 4 1/2". There are a few small tears around the edges and one larger one running in from the edge across the baseball. I didn't want to mend it with archival type due to its double-sidedness, but will send a little tape along in case you would like to.
