I found these in Vermont, which seems as likely a place as anywhere to find a pair of salesman sample hiking boots! A faint stamp on the sole of one indicates they were made in Italy--which also makes sense, as who makes better shoes, or boots, than the Italians! The level of craftsmanship on these is pretty outstanding, down to the metal clinkers/tricounis around the soles, distinguishing them as mountain boots, c. 1930s-40s I believe.
Each approx 3 7/8" l x 1 3/4" w x 2 1/2" t. Very good condition, with a nice warm patina to the leather.
