Parker Brothers "Hidden Titles" Antique Rebus Puzzle Game

Regular price $60.00

We had a lot of fun testing this one prior to my listing it! I really love a rebus, and this late 19th century  "Hidden Titles" game contains a smart thirty of them--wonderfully rendered through drawings and hand-written text lithographed onto nice weight cards--giving clues to the names of 30 places around the country and around the world. An early game of Parker Brothers, which was based in Salem, Massachusetts, it does slightly favor locations in this part of the country, but not obscure ones. Just as the box attests, really a great game for a party or a group, and once could easily divide into teams and make it a timed contest.

We've solved all but a couple and, in absence of a printed list of solutions included with the set, I'll include ours in case helpful. Thus set includes the full set of 30 cards in original box and a card advertising other Parker Brothers games. The box shows plenty of wear, as pictured, and there are a couple of cards that show some foxing but otherwise they are in very good condition, and with very pretty pink backs.  Cards measure 5 1/2" x 3 5/16"; box measures 6 1/2" x 5 1/8" x 1 1/8".
