I really love the immediacy of this old hand-painted blackberries sign, and the fact that 'ies' in berries is a little scrunched up, and the division between black on one line and berries on the next, making one think about the amazing color of ripe blackberries, and also the blackness of the painted letters themselves. Plus this yellow, which is just about exactly the color of hotdog mustard, and then the nearly identical white letters against black on the flip side, like an inverse of the front. For me, really quite an evocative thing, with great surface on both sides.
12 1/2" in diameter; 7/16" deep. Some rust around the edges and a few of the tabs around the perimeter are a little bent, all to the good I think. There's an old wire at the top for hanging, which could easily be removed or replaced if desired.
