I always have an eye out for vintage DLM (Design Learning Materials) sets produced in the 60s and 70s for use in schools; the materials are invariably thoughtful and smart, and the graphics really great, making them as much design object as teaching tools. And these parquetry tiles and design cards are my favorites of all. This set includes one full box of colorful wooden tiles and three sets of design cards, which provide forms and shapes to reproduce using the tiles, but which are also just beautiful and inspiring things in and of themselves. Hours and hours of creative play!
Included: 1 box of wooden tiles; 1 box of twenty 5 1/2" x 6" "Small Parquetry Design"; 1 Box of twenty 8 3/4" x 7 5/8" "Small Parquetry Designs I", and 1 box of twenty 8 3/4" x 7 5/8" "Small Parquetry Designs III". Boxes show a little wear but all materials are in excellent condition.
