Photos don't quite do justice to this really wonderful carved dog, which, with these long, floppy ears I'd guess represents a hound of some sort, or perhaps a lab?--and I have to think a much beloved one, as it has a very soulful face and presence! At 5 1/2" tall and with a nice weight, it feels substantial, and to my eye beautifully merges a mid-century elegance with a more folky sensibility. Really a lovely one.
Unsigned. 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/4. Very good condition, definitely with some age. I believe there is a little water staining which shows as some light spotting on one side (as pictured) - minor and I don't think detracting.
